FELICITA RANCH

An impressive 10,000 Ha. ranch located in the Muñoz Gamero Peninsula- Almirante Montt Gulf. Arrival requires sailing 3 hours in a fishing boat through the Pacific sea channels from Puerto Natales Harbor, crossing in front of the Kirke Narrows, the same spot where cruise ships enter the Puerto Natales area. Some proprietors use their own motorboats which diminishes travel time to 45 minutes. The sea route is the most convenient one.

Upon sailing along its shores and walking across the land, you begin to realize how beautiful and enormous this place is, each cove you see has its own features, some are sandy, some stony, others rocky. Three mountain streams run through the property, among impressive and peaceful landscapes.

There is a large peat moss (Sphagnum moss) bog, an important natural form of carbon sequestering.

The property boasts a lake, 3 small streams (called chorrillos), and 22 km of seashore.

It possesses forests of native species like Ñire (Nothofagus Antarctica), Lenga (Nothofagus pumilio), Coigüe (Nothofagus dombeyi), Canelo (Drimys winteri) and Cipres (Austrocedrus chilensis).

On the property, you can find free wild horses, known locally as “baguales”, as well as pumas, the Chilean fox, a variety of birds and sea lions.

There are some historic buildings still standing from the old ranch property.

A new 65 Km long road is under construction, between Rio Perez and Hollemberg, this road will shorten the old road to Puerto Natales by 80 Km.
